It was great to hear from speakers Will Rodriguez-Kennedy, Sean Elo-Rivera, and Rafael Castellanos at the La Mesa Democratic Club on Wednesday about the challenges the party has in reaching out to Latinx voters. It was eye opening to hear how easy it is for Democrats to assume our messages are effective while missing opportunities to solidify a diverse constituency that should be aligned with our values.
